things that stop you from writing your ebook.
Writer's Block
Writer’s block is commonly associated with not being able to write when you are
ready to get something written. Many people dread the time when they sit down at
their computer and stare at a blank screen. But there are many ways to avoid
writer’s block and say goodbye to it forever.
One way to make sure you can always write is to keep a notebook handy. Make
notes about different ideas and topics you want to write about. Whenever you
think of something else you can add it to your notebook.
You can also use an outline to get started writing. If you are going to write an
article about tennis, make a list of topics that you would include in the
article. By numbering them and making notes next to each one, you will soon have
enough information to get started with your writing.
We never get speaker’s block, so writer’s block should also be easy to
eliminate. Look for what inspires you to write. Sometimes just turning on the
television to a boring program can make you get the urge to write. Walking
outdoors in nature can also be inspiring. Look for reasons to want to write
instead of excuses not to write. Soon you will be able to sit down and write at
will for as long as you want or need to.
Setting goals for your writing can also be helpful. When I am working on an
ebook I make an outline and then write down how many chapters or pages I will
write every day. If you write best in the morning, you can accomplish your goal
early in the day. If you are a writer who works best in the evening, you can
write as much as you promised yourself before retiring for the evening.
We may get
writer's block, but we never seem to get speaker's
block. If you are having difficulty writing, speak your
ebook into a recording device and have it transcribed
later.
