Time Management for Ebook Writers
Writing your ebook will require time and effort on your
part. Many people feel that they just don’t have the time to dedicate even an
hour a day to writing. By using some time management techniques you can get your
ebook written. Here are 7 tips to see how you use your time and make the changes
that need to be made in order to have time to write.
- Write down what you do every hour during a three day
period. You may be going to a job, driving others back and forth to
appointments, and running errands that must be done for yourself and your
family. Three days is a good period of time to look at so that you can
include a weekend day and a day that is extra busy for you.
- After the three days, take a look at how you are
spending your time. See how much time you spend driving from one place to
the next and what else you do during your days that you haven’t given much
thought to before.
- See how you can combine trips to get more done at one
time. Run errands on your way to or from another appointment. Wait until you
have two things to do at a location that is further away from your house to
save the extra trip.
- Delegate any activities that do not need to be done
personally by you. Solicit your friends and family members to take
responsibility in getting these tasks completed. Hire someone to do the
things that take so much of your time and do not increase your productivity
throughout the day.
- Turn off the television. Record anything you think you
must see and watch it at a later time, without having to sit through
commercials.
- Make a writing schedule for yourself. Some people are
fresher and full of ideas early in the morning, while others do their best
writing later in the evening. You know what works best for you.
- Dedicate one hour every day to writing. You will be
surprised and delighted to see how much you can accomplish over a short
period of time by doing this.
Follow these 7 tips and you will have your ebook written in
record time.
